TREWAVAS
Light, salty and citrusy, Trewavas is a semi hard cheese, made from west Cornwall milk, which is fantastic addition to a cheese board or melted over your favourite dish.
This cheese is inspired by the brave folk who worked Wheal Trewavas in the 19th Century.
It is said that miners would take hard cheese down the mines for crib (a Cornish mid-morning snack) to replenish lost nutrients.
Wheal Trewavas has long since been abandoned, but enjoys UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

We are a small batch part-time producer so availability may vary. Please get in touch to find out more.
Testimonials
The Trewavas was a roaring success. You really do produce an exceptionally good product.

The Trewavas is delicious, mate. I had a couple of others on the plate and it stood its ground with Comte and a nice cheddar. Looked good too with the authentic rind.
