Made with locally sourced pasteurised milk over 2 days, Tregonning soft cheese is fresh, zingy and salty, finishing with a delightful creaminess.

It’s a very versatile cheese, at home in a salmon bagel or simply on toast and drizzled with honey.

We call it Tregonning after the site where Europe’s first soft, white china clay (locally called Moorstone or Growan Clay) was discovered in the 18th Century by Plymouth chemist William Cookworthy.

Long forgotten, the Tregonning Hill mine workings proved to be an important beginning to Cornwall’s china clay industry

Tregonning soft cheese is our third cheese and has been enjoyed tremendously during our production testing.
